"LOVE YOUR BREAD!"
We hear that a lot! When you use simple, quality ingredients, time-honored artisan techniques, and instill your pride into each and every loaf...it's easy! And we are TRULY BLESSED!
Welcome to Stella Sourdough, the home of delicious sourdoughs and yeasted breads and treats in Northeast Tennessee! Founded by Tiffiny Hurley, each loaf is a celebration of local heritage. We bake daily and deliver to numerous stores in and around the Tri-Cities and offer porch pickup at our cottage bakery outside of Gray.
A Little Slice of Heaven!
Stella Sourdough offers sliced loaves (and unsliced upon request and at select local markets) as a convenience to you at no additional charge!
Our slices are standard sandwich width (1/2") and save you from potential mishaps with your serrated knives!
Stella Sourdough as you like it...sliced, or unsliced...LOVE YOUR BREAD!
How simple are the ingredients in Stella Sourdough products?
Stella Sourdough uses the simplest ingredients with the simplest molecular makeup. We strive for Non-GMO Verified products like the American spring wheat in the non-bleached, non-brominated bread flour we use. Until recently, we always thought salt was your typical
NaCl until a customer urged us to take a closer look. We discovered things like anti-caking agents including "yellow prussiate of soda" or sodium ferrocyanide (cyanide attached to an iron molecule to make it "safe" for human consumption). No bueno!
We now use traditional sea salt exclusively in our products.
Stella Cinnamon Rolls now available!
Fresh and gooey, the Stella Cinnamon Roll is the culmination of several months of testing and perfecting a sourdough recipe that was incredibly soft with a delicious cinnamon brown sugar filling and a buttery cream cheese icing! With each batch, Tiffiny would sample out her cinnamon rolls to folks like Piere and Jules at Piere's Marketplace, David and Marcelo at Boone Street Market, the Rogers Family at Faithful Fields Farm, Rachel Troyer at Troyer's Country Market, Allen and Mattie Hochstetler at Mountain View, and Ivan and Susie Yoder at Yoder's Country Market until ALL gave two enthusiastic thumbs up and demanded they be sold in their stores!
